Visitor statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, run by Cloudflare, Inc., USA. It receives the page address, the referring page, browser and device type and the country derived from your IP address. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Language by country

If you arrive on an English page from outside this site from Switzerland, Germany, Austria or Liechtenstein, Cloudflare sends you to its German version. Links within this site and a language you chose with the switcher are never redirected. The country Cloudflare derives from your IP address is used for this decision only and is not stored.

Cookies and browser storage

If you choose a language with the switcher (its link carries ?sprache=), the page opens in that language and this site sets a cookie named sprache with the value en or de for one year, so that your choice also wins over the country on later visits. There are no other cookies and nothing else is stored in your browser. You can refuse or delete the cookie in your browser settings; the switcher still works, and the next time you arrive from outside this site, the country applies again.

Watch faces

Settings for our watch faces are stored on the watch and, through Garmin Connect, in your Garmin account under Garmin's privacy policy; we receive none of them.

From Umbra 1.3.0, the watch face reports to glyphlabshq.com through the watch's connection to your phone (Garmin Connect) when it is installed, when it is updated and once a day: the type of event, the app version and the device model. It sends no identifier, no account and no health, activity or location values. Our server derives the country from the IP address, does not store the IP address and stores only counts per day. We use them to know how many installs and active watches there are.

In the Connect IQ Store, Garmin shows us aggregated install numbers by device model and version, with no personal data.
